The College of Engineering’s secret society, the Vulcans, is founded. That same year, the Union Committee reorganizes into the Student Council.

The Vulcans propose and successfully motion for faculty to create an Engineering Honor Committee, a subsection of the Student Council dedicated solely to the College of Engineering.

The Engineering Honor Code is created, modeled after the West Point Honor Code, and required to be written on exams.

The Engineering Honor Committee is rebranded as the Engineering Honor Society.

World War II leads to the temporary suspension of the Honor Code.

After years of petitioning, the Honor Code is reinstated, and the Engineering Honor Society is renamed the Engineering Honor Council.

Students gain the ability to report Honor Council violations privately and anonymously.

The Honor Council splits into separate Engineering and LSA Honor Councils.

The adoption of MOSS anti-cheat software makes detecting copied code easier, causing cases to rise from fewer than ten per year to hundreds.

The Honor Council transitions from handling cases in person to fully online.

The Engineering Honor Council becomes an official student organization.
